Hey there! Before our family vacation two weeks ago, my kids asked an important question: “Can you wear Crocs while whitewater rafting?” We rented a cabin in the mountains, hiked, and took the whole family rafting. The trip was a 10 out of 10. And yes, Crocs in sport mode passed the test... although they weren’t as comfortable as Tevas (the official rafting shoe of dads everywhere). All that packing got me thinking about what we carry with us, and why some ideas travel farther than others. Three Things This WeekOne Idea. One Inspiration. One Inquiry. ONE IDEASome ideas are easier to carry than others. Think about packing for a trip. The essentials always make it into your bag. Other things get left behind because they take up too much space. Ideas work the same way. If you want an idea to travel, make it easy enough for someone to remember, repeat, and carry into their next conversation. Make it travel-sized. Hey There! I tried a new newsletter format last week and totally messed up the subject line. It defaulted to "brandon@brandsonbrands.com" instead of the catchy headline I had planned. So not the best start to trying something new. Oh well! But, I'm still experimenting. So this week, I'm trying this "3 Things" format. Reply to this email and let me know what you think. Here are some ideas to ponder this week...One Idea: Pick a project to challenge yourself with for the next 3 months. I'm refreshing my newsletter format and I hope you like it. I was looking for something that would be enjoyable to create and fun for you to read. I was inspired by the simplicity of James Clear's Newsletter which has 3 million subscribers, so he must be doing something right! *Respond to the email if you like this format. Reader, We’ve all heard the advice: “You need to be everywhere.” Ok, I admit it. I said it. I'm the problem. It's me! 🤣 I've given that advice. BUT... that advice is meant as an aspirational long-term goal. It's not where you start. When I got started, I tried all the things to see what felt most natural to me. And eventually, podcast was the winner for me as the easiest place to create content. So I nurtured that and then expanded. But if you’ve ever tried to post on LinkedIn, record a...
